This regatta is held in honor of the Mayor of Waukegan. All racers are welcome to join us. Following the race the club is having a pig and corn roast. You do not have to be a member to participate.

First held in 1969, the Trans-Superior Sailboat race started as a challenge between two old friends from White Pine, Michigan. Dr. John Pierpoint's and Jack Soetebier's friendly challenge turned into a race involving 22 sailing yachts from all over the Great Lakes.
