91st Chicago to Waukegan Race Celebration!
Waukegan Yacht Club is excited to host the 91st running of this historic race & party that sees over 100 boats with over 700 sailors and brings more than 1000 visitors to our harbor, making it one of the best attended races on the Great Lakes. This year’s events will be extraordinary:
- Crew Favorite - Later Morning Race Start
- Afternoon – Family Friendly Celebration to greet the arrival of the fleet.
- Dining – afternoon quick bites for early fleet arrivals & “shore crew in waiting” followed by evening hot buffet dinner.

Chicago Mike Beck and Friends return to bring afternoon fun to WYC with amazing energy and a gift for encouraging audience participation and laughter.
The Sons of Chicago are back to rock your world! Band leader, vocalist, and racer Gary (Lucca) Feracota performs with the finest professional musicians who put their unique, high-energy spin on classic Rock, Blues, Soul, and R&B greats known by all. The Sons of Chicago are back at WYC, and their grooves are irresistible – you know you want to shake it after a great race – let’s go!

It’s no secret - this year WYC is digging deep to thrive in spite of prejudices from the name “Yacht Club” – this event is funded by the proceeds from dinner and drink purchases.
